Range is an energy budget

A 48 V, 15 Ah battery has a nominal energy of approximately 720 Wh (48 × 15). That figure is not a guaranteed riding distance. Hills, speed, rider weight, tire pressure, wind, temperature and the amount of pedaling all change energy use.

What Buyers Should Evaluate

At an illustrative 15–25 Wh per kilometer, 720 Wh corresponds to roughly 29–48 km before accounting for usable capacity and other losses. These are calculation examples, not tested performance claims for a particular model.

Market and Product Considerations

Publish a repeatable range test protocol: rider and payload weight, ambient temperature, average speed, terrain, tire pressure and assistance level. This makes comparisons useful and reduces disputes.

Practical Recommendations

Include battery replacement price, charger compatibility and storage instructions in every buyer quotation.

Questions to Ask Before You Buy

What configuration and test conditions support the advertised performance?

Which certificates, inspection records and after-sales parts are available for the exact production model?

What changes are needed for the intended destination market and rider category?
