Industry Update

Germany’s bicycle and e-bike market is moving back toward growth after several difficult years of inventory correction and weak retail ordering. Across bicycles and e-bikes combined, exports improved by more than 6%, while excess inventory has largely been reduced. ZIV described the market as stable and gradually gaining momentum rather than entering a rapid rebound.

Why It Matters for Manufacturers and Exporters

The data suggests that Germany is moving from destocking toward a healthier replacement and sell-through cycle. For suppliers, this favors disciplined inventory, reliable delivery, serviceable product platforms and mid-priced models with clear everyday value. ZIV also reported strong workshop activity and a healthy aftermarket, reinforcing the importance of spare parts availability and after-sales support as competitive factors.
